CHILDREN, PARENTS & PERSONALITY TYPES

Personalities can be observed in children at the age of three. A lot can change in terms of attitudes towards certain activities, behaviors and fears, but essentially, personality will not change.

Getting to know your children’s personalities will help you determine what makes them tick. What makes a child happy, curious or excited; and when it’s time to push them out of their comfort zone in order to help them gain confidence to confront new situations.

To simplify, we have divided personality types into introverts and extroverts. While the introvert’s focus of attention is within, the extroverts’ focus is without. A variety of studies have shown different brain activity accounting for these types’ differences in perception. These differences explain their discrepancy in understanding, priorities, incentives, judgments, values and behavior.

Once you have identified your child’s focus, you will know his or her energy source and happy place.
